This session will explore best practice using the BAPM framework, with live audience interaction and discussion to reflect on real-world challenges and opportunities.

Through expert-led video examples, including a structured counselling discussion and a multi-professional four-way conversation across neonatal and obstetric services (SCU, LNU, NICU), the webinar will demonstrate effective communication, collaborative decision-making, and continuity of care across settings.

The programme also addresses the psychological impact on both parents and staff, offering perspectives on support, resilience, and compassionate practice. Regional work from the West Midlands will be showcased, sharing practical approaches to championing and embedding high-quality extreme preterm antenatal counselling.
