The North West MatNeoSiP optimisation collborative study day took place in November. A day of true collaboration for health professionals, parents and children.

In November we had one of our bi-annual NWNODN team away days. This was a day of collaborative working and planning for the future with some festive fun along the way!

The 17th November is an annual celebration of World Prematurity Day which we and all of our North West Units and families celebrated this year.

The NWNODN FiCare Unit Accreditation scheme has commenced and will continue through 2022. It is with the greatest pleasure to announce that the Countess of Chester Neonatal Unit has become the first North West Neonatal unit to achieve FiCare Accreditation – congratulations! The Northwest Neonatal Network and Spoons charity are partnering on an exciting new project to create emotionally healthy neonatal units. . The Neonatal Families and Staff Together (NFaST) project will be trialling interventions designed to enable neonatal units to become more psychologically responsive and emotionally supportive environments.
