Our Away Day in June brought together neonatal professionals, parent representatives, charity partners and experts from across the region for a day of learning and collaboration. It included the launch of Wrapped for a Reason, national updates from NHS England, parent advisory group presentations and sharing good practices. Delegates also heard an inspiring lived experience presentation from a neonatal patient

Our team away day was a great opportunity to connect, welcome new colleagues and reflect on how we work together. We explored through interactive sessions about communication, wellbeing, self compassion and shared ideas on building a more supportive and stronger workplace. The day finished on a high as we celebrated our successes and what makes our team great!

We joined for a multidisciplinary neonatal palliative care study day, this event was designed for neonatal teams to attend together to include medics, neonatal nurses, AHPs, paediatric nurse specialists and educators to explore how neonatal palliative care can be integrated into everyday clinical practice. Through shared learning, discussion and reflection, the day supported teams to build confidence, consistency and compassion

The study day held in March featured information on nutrition and weaning, developmental milestones, medication at home, parent experiences and lone working.

The Airway Study Day was a brilliant opportunity for all LNUs and SCUs across the North West to receive training on respiratory care.

The NWNODN Annual Conference brought together healthcare professionals and partners from across the region for a day of shared learning, collaboration and reflection. The event showcased ongoing improvements in neonatal care and attendees had the opportunity to hear from a range of speakers, share experiences and explore ways of continuing improving outcomes for babies and families.

The North West MatNeoSiP optimisation collborative study day took place in November. A day of true collaboration for health professionals, parents and children.

In November we had one of our bi-annual NWNODN team away days. This was a day of collaborative working and planning for the future with some festive fun along the way!
